Our History:
1989 – ETS (ESSO Technologies and Services) is founded & development of racing fuels starts
1997 – ETS becomes an independent company
2005 – ETS opens its new production facility in France
2007 – ETS first US subsidiary ETS Racing, Inc. is founded in Charlotte, NC
2014 – ETS is acquired by HCS Group
ETS Racing Fuels is a technology and service provider specialised in the field of performance and racing fuels and tailor made lubricants for racing and testing applications.
The company develops high performance niche products with high added value and highly specific on demand services adapted to its customers’ unique needs. It has a strong brand presence and manufactures racing lubricants under the ETS-RACING LUBES brand and racing fuels under the ETS-RACING FUELS brand name.
The company has its manufacturing site located in Bourgtheroulde (south of Rouen) spanning 22,000 m2 and additional subsidiaries in Germany and in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.

The development, formulation and production of racing fuels and lubricants adhere to precise specifications. Solutions are provided to the problems every customer has, by in-depth study right from the design phase to the marketing phase, on scales varying from pilot blends to bulk large scale.
We work closely with our customers on and off the racing tracks. We have the skills to assist our customers on engine bench tests to optimize settings.
ETS Racing Fuels offers the possibility to develop bespoke products in order to obtain targeted performances based on either engine specifics, type of race or track, type regulation or team strategy (low consumption, reduction of operating temperature, reliability etc...).
The success of the company is evident in that more than 50 national and world champion titles have been won with factory and private teams using ETS Racing Fuels.
The range of premium, cutting edge racing fuels from ETS Racing Fuels is produced for use with motorbikes, cars and water sport equipment. The fuels are designed in close cooperation with engine manufacturers or teams to respond to all of the challenges that come with world-wide racing and regulations. HISTORY
The history of ETS-Racing Fuels traces its roots back originally to the oil industry. The most important milestones in the development of the company are outlined below:
1989
The company was founded in 1989 as ETS (ESSO Technologies and Services) at the site of the ESSO Research Centre in Mont-Saint-Aignan near Rouen, France in order to provide companies external to the EXXON group with the R&D capabilities available on-site. This affiliation imparted it with strong capabilities in the chemistry of petroleum products, especially fuel and lubricant formulation and analysis and also mechanical and engine tests to evaluate these same fuels and lubricants.
1997
In 1997 ETS became an independent company
2002
In 2002, due to rapid expansion, ETS was split up into 3 separate divisions: ETSA, ETSM and ETSP.
ETSA (Expertises Technologies et Services – Analyses) provided the analytical laboratories, maritime inspection and Safety.
ETSM (Expertises Technologies et Services – Mechanical) was responsible for engine tests and research, components, vehicles, drive train and on-site subcontracting.
ETSP (Expertises Technologies et Services – Products) specialising in formulation and manufacturing, customised special products, racing lubricants and fuels, test and reference lubricants and fuels, industrial lubricants and lubricants for metal working.
2005
In 2005, ETSP set up its new manufacturing site located in Bourgtheroulde (south of Rouen) spanning 22,000 m2.
2007
In 2007 D2T, a subsidiary of IFP technologies, bought ETSM.
ETSP created a subsidiary in the USA: ETS Racing, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina
2010
ETSA was bought by Intertek Caleb Brett in 2010
ETSP created a subsidiary in Germany: ETSP GmbH.
2014
In 2014, HCS Group completed the acquisition of ETSP.
2015
Due to the many synergies ETSP had with the rest of the group, many of the test and reference fuels and lubricants as well as much expertise was encompassed into the Haltermann Carless brand.
ETS Racing Fuels remained a separate brand with its full range of premium racing fuels and lubricants, continuing to be a leading supplier of racing fuels in many different motorsport disciplines.

ETS Racing Inc has been integrated into Hatlermann Carless US Inc, located in Troy, MI.
