Cooper Webb wins AMA Supercross Championship

Cooper Webb’s meteoric rise from rookie to winning the 2019 AMA Supercross Championship has been nothing short of remarkable. Having made the leap from the 250cc division, he was confident he had all the tools required to replicate his success in the premier 450cc division. He had the support and expertise of a successful Red Bull team, and an all-new Factory SX-F 450 bike powered by ETS Racing Fuels.

Final Placement 2019 AMA Supercross Championship: 5 of the top 10 drivers were powered by ETS
Cooper Webb’s victory represents yet another win for ETS. The France-based technology company specializes in manufacturing high-performance racing fuels and has been powering champions worldwide since 1989.

Webb is the latest addition to a long line of champions powered by ETS Racing Fuels. After a slow start to the season, he was able to prove his critics wrong by delivering results for his new team when it mattered most. His outstanding six wins during the season placed him in the top spot on the overall leader board

"It's been an incredible journey," Webb said. "The change this year. I was a washed-up 10th-place guy last year, and this KTM team believed in me, they took me in and transformed me and got me back to what I always knew I could be. I really can't believe it. This year was really not expected at all."

Red Bull KTM Team Manager, Ian Harrison added: “It’s a little surreal right now to win this championship with Cooper. I’ve been through it before many times with Roger [De Coster] but to be in this position – it hasn’t quite sunk in. Going from finishing ninth in the championship last season, we weren’t expecting too much from Cooper in the beginning – we were hoping for one win. Once he got the one, then he did it again and his confidence went up from there and he really managed his races well. I think he was outstanding but last round in New York when he wasn’t feeling well and he came through in the clutch time with a win, that’s the test of a true champion and he did it.”

With one championship under his belt, he has now graduated into the realm of top professionals. But how will he ride next year with the weight of expectation on his shoulders? And how will he fare in the wheel-to-wheel battles with Eli Tomac? He will be pushed hard by Tomac, and even harder by his ambitious teammate Marvin Musquin. He will certainly need a trick or two up his sleeve — and ETS Racing Fuels will be there to help.

Red Bull KTM have been choosing ETS racing fuels to power their championship teams since 2012 – with ETS engineering custom fuels for their machines in European, American and World Championships — producing over 10 major titles worldwide.
